2024 Briede Tannat
Bold, structured, and expressive, the 2024 Briede Tannat highlights the powerful character of this distinctive varietal while maintaining balance and elegance. Sourced primarily from William’s Gap with a small addition of Merlot from Bethany Ridge Vineyard, this limited-production wine was crafted to showcase depth, structure, and complexity.
In the glass, deep ruby hues introduce aromas of blackberry, dark plum, and black cherry, layered with subtle notes of cocoa, baking spice, and toasted oak. The palate is full-bodied with firm, well-integrated tannins and a vibrant acidity that provides balance and length. Aging in French oak lends a gentle touch of spice and texture while allowing the bold fruit profile of the Tannat to remain the star. The result is a wine with both power and refinement, finishing long and structured.
With only 91 cases produced, this wine pairs beautifully with grilled steaks, roasted lamb, braised dishes, and other hearty fare. It can be enjoyed now with decanting or allowed to develop further with time in the cellar.
